I have received music and piano education as a foreigner in foreign countries since I was a child. Throughout my music career, I have met and been inspired by many international pianists and teachers with different backgrounds. The reason why I have been enjoying playing the piano in such an environment is that I am genuinely fascinated by music and find joy in performing. From my experience, I strongly feel that music can be a way of communication that connects people beyond borders, words and cultures. I want to use the knowledge and experience I have gained so far to provide piano lessons to those who are facing a similar situation that I used to be in.
In addition to the basics and performance techniques, I hope that students could purely enjoy the sound and learn the way to express themselves through music. My role is to create an environment that opens up students’ imagination and sensitivity while respecting their autonomy. Let’s enjoy music and fall in love with the piano together!
Career
Isara Masunari started playing the piano at the age of four.
She received her Bachelor’s degree with First-Class Honours from the College of Music, Mahidol University in Thailand.
During her studies, she participated in masterclasses and seminars such as the Piano Plus Festival in Corfu Island, Greece, and the MusicAlp International Academy of Music in Tignes, France.
She moved to Norway in 2019 and received her Master’s degree from the Grieg Academy, University of Bergen, majoring in piano performance.
